How To Jailbreak An Amazon Fire Stick

I'm not a techie, but after successfully getting the Goggle Play store on my Amazon Kindle Fire, I feel like I can do anything!!! Someone was telling me she did this and watches premium channels and new movies for free. I was wondering how this is done, maybe a website I can visit. Has anyone done this successfully?

I have been doing some serious research on "jailbreaking" and that site is the best I have come across that is very detailed regarding steip by step instructions.

In my area, BestBuy Geek Squad will "jailbreak" (on their time) if you purchased the FS from BB.

The link @Mz iMac, provided was very informative. I watched the video and OMG, I think my head is going to explode! I am not the least bit confident I can do this. If you try it and succeed let me know.

It's legal to jailbreak your FireStick, but illegal to watch illegally streamed movies/shows. What jailbreaking does is sideload unapproved apps onto your FireStick that use illegal streaming sites (typically based overseas) to let you watch stuff you'd typically have to pay to watch. Will you get in trouble doing it? Probably not, but there is some risk involved. The old music sharing sites got a lot of people in trouble when the feds cracked down. Sooner or later they'll try cracking down on the video sites. If you happen to get caught in that crackdown it could end up costing a lot more than you're saving.

I was going to post it's illegal but I figured no one cared. Proceed at you own risk. Me, I am not a law breaker. If I can't afford to pay for what I want, I do without.

I think that's a wise decision. Some of those who used the music sharing sites got hit with bills in the thousands of dollars. Pretty much everything done online leaves a digital trail of some sort that could lead back to you. If you use a VPN to hide your trail you could be okay, but even that's not a hundred percent safe. If the VPN you're using decided to cooperate with the feds, well, it could get messy. Millions of people are using jailbroken FireSticks, but there is a risk that comes with doing so. At some point the feds will crack down on it and a lot of people will wish they hadn't done it.
