      <title>Streaming instead of Cable</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;We recently moved and opted for Hulu Live TV instead of cable.&amp;nbsp; We have our internet thru Xfinity/Comcast.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We have been happy up until now.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; We just learned that we have exceded our data plan for December.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; We didn't even know there was a data cap but sure enough most internet providers have one and if you go over it there is a another charge depending on how much more data you have used.&amp;nbsp; Theirs is $10.00 for every extra 50 MB.&amp;nbsp; That equates to about 15 hours of streaming.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It's hard for me to see how two adults can exceed the amount .&amp;nbsp; We have 2 TV's and two phones and I have a macbook air.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;DH has a desktop but doesn't use it all that much.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Funny how no one mentioned this data cap when we signed up.&amp;nbsp; And they can't tell us which devices are using what % of the data.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So, for all of you thinking about cutting cable and streaming just know there is a cap and if you go over your cheaper than cable plan just got more expensive.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I ran into something similar with use of the telephone. AT&amp;amp;T signed me up but didn't mention I could only use the phone for 200 minutes per month. I went way over that just calling them about my TV service not working right.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;And no, they didn't give me a break because it was them I was talking to.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The next month when I got my BILL, I got them on the phone and told them they were going to change that to unlimited or they could come back out and do an uninstall.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;I suppose it depends on your ISP and your plan, but I have no cap on any streaming service.&amp;nbsp; I stream to my heart's content.&amp;nbsp; If I found I was being charged and never advised, I'd be screaming to my state utilities commission.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.qvc.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/33161"&gt;@Bridgegal&lt;/a&gt;, no data limitations here. &amp;nbsp;There are always complaints about the telecom companies though. &amp;nbsp;Promising one thing and changing it without notice and never in your favor. &amp;nbsp;I went without cable for over a year and was quite happy streaming. &amp;nbsp;DH missed sports. &amp;nbsp;The only reason we signed up again was because they gave us a two year deal as good as the price for internet alone. &amp;nbsp;If the price goes up again, we are gone. &amp;nbsp;LM&lt;/P&gt;</description>

You can decide what your next step.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Comcast raises prices every year. The cost of cable will be very high in 2019.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
