Malwarebytes Warning

I use AOL for my email. I use the web site to retrieve it. Today, Malwarebytes has been giving me a pop-up warning each time I go to use AOL, saying it could have a trojan. I have the option to close or take AOL off the list. I have done a Malwarebytes scan and it does not find any issue. I used CCleaner and nothing was found. Any thoughts?

Try turning it off and restarting it.

If you Google what you posted Today, Malwarebytes has been giving me a pop-up warning each time I go to use AOL, saying it could have a trojan. There is a forum talking about this.

It said to make sure your Malwarebytes is up to date. Is yours up to date? See pic below.

If it's up to date you can Google to see what else is posted there for a fix.

Thanks. I did that, but couldn't find an easy fix. Seeing that someone else using AOL had this happen today lets me know that it could be an AOL issue. My Malwarebytes is current. I'll not panic, yet! LOL

Everything is working correctly now. I bet AOL was having some kind of glitch or problem.

Yes, Marybella- it's a ploy to get you to upgrade and pay for it. If you checked your security and everything is fine, just ignire those pop-ups.

Ha ha! I have heard that before. I could only do dial-up when I signed up with AOL. Years later when I could change, I didn't because I had my email address on my business cards. I felt that if I changed it, I might have lost some sales. So, now that I'm retired, it really doesn't matter, but I'm too lazy to change it and have to notify all my friends and utility companies, etc.
