Why Do I Have Two Icons

I have an iPad Air, on the home screen the Safari icon is at the bottom, however there are two instead of the usual one. One of them has a little icon on it, kind of looks like a cellphone. How can I get rid of one of the Safari icons ( it won’t disappear in the usual manner of holding down the icon and deleting it). I find it annoying.

@ Montana, thanks for trying to help. That wasn’t the problem, however after shutting my iPad down overnight, I put it on today and it was gone. This happens every once in a while I’m not sure why. Could be something is running in the background I’m not aware of.
