I apparently pushed the wrong button somewhere , as was trying to eliminate saved tracking. Now every time I log into my favorite sites like Qvc, Zulily etc. I have to retype my email address . It is like website is seeing my login for first time and wants me to sign up form alerts, which I already have done. Would appreciate any help fixing settings. Thank you, Susi.

There options under settings for Safari for "prevent cross-site tracking" and "ask websites not to track me" which I have on. I also sometimes clear my history. None of these options cause the need of an email or user name (unless I am trying to order or otherwise access my account).

Are your saved websites actually stored under favorites? Even there I have never had to use an email.

Hope someone else has a answer.

Thank you for helping out. They are all under my favorites and frequently visited. I actually turned off those two restrictions and now allow websites to track me , and allow cross tracking. It is a little better, but still keep getting those pesky pop ups wanting me to register my email for alerts. I have now signed in again, and seems ok, but then after some time has passed, I have to keep resigning in with email and password too even if not accessing account , just to get on Zulilly to just browse. Will see how it goes. Thank you again ‘Still Raining.’

Thank you dooBdoo. I checked and that names and password button was toggled on. I shut down iPad and turned back on, and still have to put email and passwords into just to access some sites . Even Qvc, had to password and email just to respond to this message. Usually just had to put just password in, not email.....

I think it is fixed! Seems like clearing Safari history did it. I turned iPad off and on and went into my favorites and didnt have to go thru all the passwords and other troubles. I am afraid to touch any other button, but I got one advisory from HSN stating that I should turn on my cross site tracking or would be unable to do something. Should I turn it back on, or not? Thank you both again for being so helpful and taking time to help! Susi.
