I haven’t noticed an increase in ads on Safari.

Safari>Preferences>Security.

Check your ad blocking settings.

Go to the App Store & check out all the FREE add blocking apps. The current favorite is Adblock Plus.

I don't use Safari. Unknown if they have an add-on website. Most browsers do. You should have a "backup" browser. Anywho, go to their add-on website & install an ad blocker. All add-ons are FREE.

Use adblock plus, just click safari in the upper left by the Apple icon when you have the browser open, click preferences, extensions and then more extensions which opens the web page find it and add it.

Try going to settings Look for privacy tab and block. maybe ths will help somewhat
