I cannot figure it out. I've googled. I do not see safari anywhere. I want to clear my history. 😬

All Macs come with Safari from what I understand. You must go into settings to find it. Do you have a stttings app? It looks like a gray colored looking gear thingy in a box.

You must go into that app. You should be able to scroll down to find Safari. It is a small blue app. Once you go into Safari, scroll down on the right until you find Clear History and Website Data..click on that,and then click on Clear.

Open Safari. Go under the History menu bar, top of the web browser and at the bottom select "Clear History ..." A window will pop up asking if you want to clear all history or just certain times (like today or yesterday). Select whichever you want and then click the Clear History button.

@cbrite, if you don't see the Safai icon in your dock, go into your Applications folder and look for Safari there. Double click to launch it, then follow the directions to clear history.

@AspenGrove I did exactly that....the Icon finally showed up and I ran it.... Now I don't see the darn thing.....so, I don't know what the heck I'm doing wrong... Maybe I have to go back into History or Finder... I did empty the trash, lol...

The computer guy said to leave it sleep........Is it ok to turn if off ?

@cbriteIf you do not see Safari in the DOCk...

Open your Applications folder, find Safari and drag it to the position in the dock that you would like it and drop it. It will then place an alias of the application in the dock. Do this with any application, you lost nothing but an alias and does not require any re-installation or re-downloading.

Shutting down or sleeping your Mac is a personal choice.

General rule of thumb is, if you are not going to use your Mac for 3 plus days, shut it down.

Learning this MAC is a bit time consuming...uffff..O.O

I did erase the history.

I'm using 2 monitors each 27" so my neck is crooked now..is a lot to view at once...2 keyboards + 2 mice...etc........ I love the screen on the Mac with 3D...is a drone I'm sure.

No, that's system preferences that looks like a gear. And you don't need to go to settings to find safari, it's in finder and also in launchpad if it's not on your tool bar.

Here's the thing I don't get. How can you can not find Safari, if you want to clear it's history obviously you've been using it. Or it wouldn't have a history to be cleared.
