Please, What's the Difference?

QVC's E293396 is a Fire 8 for $79.00
The One Day Only E231917 is a Fire 8 for $59.00.
I've gone through the descriptions and I can't find a difference.

Can anybody please see the difference between these two?

Sometimes when an item sells out completely, QVC will being new ones back under a new number.

@Zhills, there's a fraction of a different in the outer dimentions. So they ARE different. Maybe one is a newer model.(? )

Ok, I see the measurements are different. 8 1/2 vs 8 3/8. I don't see anything else.

I was hoping someone here had shopped for this in brick & mortar, maybe had a sales rep who knew of some minor upgrade and pointed out the difference.

For those of you buying the Fire 8, I hope you find it faster than the Fire 7. I bought the New Fire 7 when it first came out and it is extremely slow. I ended up buying another larger tablet that is so much faster I can't even begin to tell you. I no longer use my Fire 7...it's too slow.

Did you know that the Fire tablets are not loaded with google play? You can only load apps from the Amazon app store, unless you know how to side load the google play store onto your Fire tablet. fyi

Got that @SilleeMee, no Google. Tho my neighbor works for Amazon and takes techie IT classes. She offered to help me with that.
But I just need something a little bit bigger for trying to read these forums.

I did read reviews comparing the Fire 7 & Fire 8, which is why I passed on the 7 when it was on sale. Good thing too. I had it in my cart, but then read the 7 was slammed for being slower, with a shorter battery charge.

One includes special offers (i.e., ads) and one does not. However, Amazon is getting rid of their ads so I would buy the one w/special offers.

The ads are only when you turn it on (no biggie). I have used all sizes and prefer the 10" for many reasons ( ease of reading, speed etc). I feel with any size you should add an sd card -- mine is 32 gb. Finally, why buy it from anybody but Amazon? They frequently run specials on all sizes and I'm sure there'll be a special by Mothers Day. Amazon also has extended pay.
