Any and all changes wil be made within the Windows 10 framework and there won't be any significant changes to how it works, looks, or functions. They've heard the many, many complaints about having to learn a whole new operating system every few years and they've moved to what they're calling an environment model where the basic OS stays the same with tweaks here and there as needed, but no major redesign requiring major adjustments. It's a clever move on their part.

As to any app incompatibility being the fault of the app developer since they had the beta for several months, it's good to remember that was the beta the could test the app on and not the final product. It's entirely possible the app worked fine on the beta version but then Apple tweaked something in the final version that caused an incompatibility. Very rarely is the beta version the absolute final version that reaches consumers. Problems arise in the beta that are then patched in the final version and if one of those patches knocks out an app, oh well, those things happen.

Ohmygosh, the 11 is VERY different. I put it on one of my iPads to see, and I can't figure anything out. I can't do anything, can't close an app...bunch of basic stuff. I really am not in the mood to spend hours and hours trying to figure things out. I'm glad I didn't download it on my primary iPad.

Previous software upgrades have not been so substantially different. This is like Microsoft making huge Windows version changes, which I never found better in any way, but had to devote many, many hours to learn.

OK, just moaning...I realize one of these days I will have to stop life and totally relearn iPad use. Grrrrrr!

I got the update on my IPad and I decided after reading some of these posts and reading the agreement I will not download my IPad. I only have a few more months with AT&T contract and my IPad2 is old anyway. So, I will just plug along until it slows to not working at all. I do not like the idea of a third party agreement,[among other thing in the policy I do not like.] I really like my LG K10 phone better anyway newer model [2017] and it could do anything the IPad can do anyway. I prefer android better then Apple products anyway.

Thanks. I bet your baby girl was as beautiful as our Precious. She is 12 1/2 years old now with an enlarged heart and A-Fib and pancreatitis but doing better with her new meds. Thank God as she makes our heart beat every day with so much love. The kids and grandkids can't wait to pick her up and love her. There is something about Shih-Tzu dogs that are calming and lovable. Many pets are like this but Shih-Tzus have always tugged on my heart strings.

The 9to5 Mac site is very interesting.

I am going to watch the rest of the video later as I haven't finished it yet.

Have a great day. I will give Precious a hug from you.

@MKR14

I couldn't agree more! Our little one had health problems from an early age too, but we were surprised and blessed to have her with us for fourteen years, so I hope you have your darling Precious around to love for years to come. Every animal is special in their own way, but after almost three years and another dog later, we still miss our little munchkin so much. I think the reason your photo gets to me so much is that I have a picture of our dog with much the same haircut and in almost the same pose. Do give Precious a big hug for me, or more than one!

(Thanks again for the info about ios11.)

The canvas photo on the wall is our Muffyling which passed away at almost 14 years old. She was a

Shih-Tzu also. Just as loving.

It was 8 years after she passed away before we bought Precious. When she passes on we know she will play in Heaven with Muffyling. We will not get anymore pets but will continue to spoil our friends pets. We are too old to care for another pet and need to go do some “us”time. We always put our family and our little Shih-Tzu angels first. They always had the best and the best care available so we will be at peace about that. I took the photo in my avatar just by accident as Precious was sitting on our bed looking outside. I had a small canvas photo done of it. I will cherish that photo always.

I always update as soon as notification appears, and there are some things I really like.

I’ve already done the 11.02 update. There are some pesky little things I’m not familiar with yet, but so far so good, for me.
