I was wondering--is the Bose Soundwave TSV today, something I could hook up to my smart TV to enhance the speakers instead of a soundbar and sub woofer?

Yes, you can connect it to your television with the auxillary cable they are oferring on the Q (or elsewhere). It is not very expensive. The cable can be used to connect other thngs to Bose, as well.

Never been a fan of anything Bose. Too high priced and many other things I have not liked about their products for years and years. Sure, it will give you more powerfull audio than the 10watt speakers in most flat screens, but other electronics for 1/4 the price will do the same, and some even more.

It isn't even a cd player, and for that price? It doesn't appear to me to even have an HDMI Input from what I see on the website. Not sure how it connects other than an Auxiliary Jack. No Optical or Coax Input for $200?

As I said, I am not a fan, but many here seem to be. I bought a 5 speaker set of Polk Satellite Speakers, that came with a powered sub-woofer for less money, and Polk is a big player in the Audio World. I'd opt for a name brand soundbar with a sub-woofer before this Bose. There are many good soundbars with a built-in sub-woofer if you don't want that other piece?

Thanks, John, but I hooked up my little Bose sound link bluetooth speaker to my TV and that did the trick!! All of what you said went right over my head---my brain is not wired to understand your expertise-- so just decided to use what I already have ----and it worked fine. I don't need incredible sound as this is a bedroom TV--just need better sound. Saved myself a few hundred$$--yippeee

Sorry about saying things you didn't understand. I do try to simplify what I say, but I can break it down better for those that want it explained differently.

Main thing! Ya got better sound and used something you have on hand. Can't beat that.

My wife gets annoyed with my looking for perfection in audio no matter what source we are listening to at the time. She likes it when her music sounds great, but beyond that, not so much! =^..^=

I did the same thing in my bedroom. I already owned a Bose SoundLink speaker I bought for my iPad. It works really well and like you posted, I don't need or have the space for a surround sound system in my bedroom. I can still use it with either my iPad or iPhone when needed.
