topic iTunes and new computer in Electronics

I plan to buy a new computer soon. I know I need to deactivate the old one and will before I donate it. What do I need to do to activate then synch with my new computer so I don't lose what's on my iPad?

Second question. I recently bought a set of TV shows, Midsomer Murders for those British TV fans, to watch on my iPad. Can that type of purchase be downloading more than once? I don't want them taking up that much space once I've watch them but, I may want to watch again some day.
