topic Garmin vs TomTom in Electronics

Hi! I've had a TomTom GPS for the past 4 years and I love it. However, mine is one of the early models which does not announce the street names, so I want to uppgrade. I've heard so much about both TomTom and Garmin, and I don't know whether to stay with a TomTom or go with a Garmin. There is a Garmin on easy pay today with lifetime maps and traffic. It looks like a good deal, but I don't know. Does anyone have any input for me? I'd really appreciate it! Thanks.
