It's a free online version of Word that works pretty well. I played around with it a bit when it was first announced (back in 2014) and I just took a look and it's still there. It's lacking a few features of the full Word, but it's pretty good. If you've got Internet access when you need to create a document, it's a good, free alternative that's very similar to what you're already using. Here's a link to it if you're interested.

https://office.live.com/start/Word.aspx

WPS Office is a free suite of programs that will work on Linux, Android and Windows. I first used it on my Android tablets and phones and then discovered it works equally well on Windows and is 100% compatible with MS Office so far. It seems a bit easier to use than Open Office but that's probably just because I'm used to it.

Another choice of good free programs!

I suggest you look into Apache Open Office. It is from a reputable company, been around for quite a while, and the format is almost identical to MS Office. Short learning curve. I use it on Win 10 with no problems. since it is free you can download it, tryit, and if you don't like it simply uninstall it. No harm, no foul
