I'm not sure if you're asking how to make what you're typing darker or what's already there darker. If you are typing a resonse to a post or starting a new one, you can click on the "B" in the upper left of the tool bar and your type will be in bold (as this is). When you want to go back to regular type then click on the "B" again. Or you can use "control B" on your keyboard and get the same effect.

Hi @halfpint1,

I will repost what I replied to you the last time that you had requested help.

My computer is acting up, so I am unable to post the link from here at QVC to your last thread on this subject.

I was one of the people who answered your request for help, and I posted some links for you of how you can enlarge your browser screens so that you can see things better, and how you can also enlarge the font or print better in your browsers, too.

Here is a recopy of my response to you from that thread:

Hi @halfpint1,

You can also go in each browser menu that you have-if you are using more than one browser, too-and change the Text Size in the browser menu settings so that it will be set each time that you use it.

You can also change the Font and the Font Size type as well, if you don't like the standard font that is there by the computer's default setting in the browser.

I'll post a link for how to do that too, if you want to change the font size, if that can help you, too.

That will then change the way that you view the print that is on your screen, when you look at pages.

Going into the browser menu feature is just another way of changing the Text size, besides using the Ctrl plus the + or - keys, to adjust the Zoom on the page.

I personally use the menu settings, because I type quite fast and am prone to hitting the Ctrl or Alt keys instead of the Shift key on my Chromebook when I am typing.

When I accidentally hit the Ctrl key or the Alt key, I am prone to accidentally doing things that I don't intend to do!

What I end up with can be quite interesting at times!

So...

Since I don't know what browser it is that you are using, I am posting a link here to the computerhope website that tells you how to change the text size settings in whatever browser you are in/using, to show you how you can change it through the browser menu in case you would like to try doing it that way some time:

http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000779.htm

Here is also a link to Howtogeek, that shows you how to change the computer's browser's Font type, to a different one from the computer's default settings:

http://www.howtogeek.com/208552/how-to-change-the-default-fonts-in-your-web-browser/

If at any time you don't like what you've tried, you can always go back and change it back to what it was.

Thanks-I am not computer savy so when my son comes over I will ask him to read your suggestions. The questions are bold but not the answers and I would like to read them. All other sites I do not have a problem. Even the tv is not dark like the price especially. I guess my cataracts got worse altho it was said a few months ago they were not ready for surgery. After the holidays I will get an appointment. Thanks again.

You can change the settings in them, to make them more accessible for you, if you need to do that.

For example, if it's easier for you to see white lettering on a black background, you can change the settings in Chrome to do that.

If it's easier to enlarge the cursor so that you can follow it around on your screen better, you can do that, too.

I'm using Chrome as my example, since I use a Chromebook to access the internet, but you can also make changes with the other computer browsers, too.

I'll post a link here to Boise State University-Idaho's website.

They have condensed everything into their website for all of the accessibilty features for many of the common computer browsers, so that you can click on each brower's features to see how to change them to make them more adaptable for however you might need them to be, to suit your needs.

Edited to add: The info.'s a few years old but I think that it's still relevant and I think that it's very useful. The browser screens may be a little different in the demos. than what you may actually be using, so just be aware of that.

Here is the link for Boise State U:

http://edtech2.boisestate.edu/gingerhunt/502/accessibility.html

I wish you the best of luck when you have the cataract surgery.

In the meantime, I wish you the very best for the holiday season, and for the New Year.
