Another weird tracfone problem

Boy, we are not having good luck lately as we have in the past with these phones. Just returned one and now the replacement is on the blink. I can not get any color in the display, it is very odd looking as if a filter is on it, I go to phone display settings and have not found anything under that category that will fix this, any ideas of where else on the phone I could make an adjustment.

Did they send you a junky reconditioned phone as a replacement? That's what they did to me after I returned a brand new smart phone that they couldn't figure out how to unlock. If I'd known, I'd have taken it to somewhere locally. I just blew another $100.and bought a new one.

Hi, @blankette, I had a similar problem and then I discovered I had not removed the dark, protective covering from the screen. I hope your problem can be resolved that easily. Let me know.

Go to Settings, Display & change your Brightness

I have already done that repeatedly...It still has no color and looks like an xray.

Thanks big sis...gee I wish it were something simple like that, I am looking at it and do not see any covering I can get my finger nail under, seems to be off.

UPDATE: Well, it got resolved and the color is on now. It was not under the settings that control the display. It was another category and he is asleep now and I can not recall what it was, started with an A. We had to uncheck inversion, as soon as I can i will get the name of the correct category. It was something weird. Thanks all.

Hi @blankette. I believe you are referring to Accessibility settings. Glad you found it and got your fone straightened out.

I currently have 3 Trackfones, but never checked out the electronics forum before.
