Tracfone question

How do I keep the screen on? Every time I make or answer the phone after a few minutes the screen goes black. It is very frustrating if you are trying to hit a number on the keypad.

I don't know what model you have. There should be an option in settings or display that lets you change the timing if when the light goes off. Usually it's set low to save battery life.

I have a new phone. It was the today's special a few months ago. I did check the settings but I could not find anything to change that.

Go to settings, display, screen timeout. You can select the time to keep the screen lit up on the phone. This was how I did it on an LG phone. Most phones have a similar set up.

I think I have the same phone. I got it three TSVs ago.

On the top of the screen it says Samsung. Put your finger on the word and drag your finger down the screen. Once you see the screen opening up, let go.

In the top right corner, there is a symbol that looks like a star. Touch it. That was your settings button.

Settings - display - screen timeout.

@Squirt60, I had the same problem on my Samsung Core Prime Tracfone and it was frustrating until I figured out how to change the time to 30 mins.

I have the LG tracphone and I'm frustrated with this also. I have adjusted my time to the longest available and when checking voicemail - by the time I listen to my messages - the screen is black. "Press 3 to delete" I can't see any of the numbers and end up saving some and then having to go back. I hate this phone - HATE. I use a computer all day at work and this phone just drives me crazy.

A quick tap on the home button will turn the screen back on if you can't figure out how to prolong the lighted screen.
