topic Microsoft Office Starter Pre-Loaded on HP Notebook Inaccessible in Electronics

My HP Notebook has been a dream...No issues...Until the warranty expired and access to the pre-loaded Microsoft Office Starter Edition that was pre-loaded became inaccessible. I've tried to do some homework and am finding that since it was pre-loaded and likely due to licensing issues (even for the Starter edition), I'm stuck unless HP can arrange to re-download the version. And, to accomplish this, I REALLY don't want to have to entertain an extended Warranty Plan option - today. I've reached out to Christine (the HP rep) through a blog on QVC's site (I think...this is all new and painful to me...single Mom, too many kids - all in school and need their Office docs! - and I need to be doing other things!) and I'm seeking anyone else's valuable input on how to solve this problem - QUICK! Thanks! Just as an FYI...The program is listed in the program list and after clicking the program, the circle rotates and then it stops and then nothing.
