Not yet. I am still using Yosemite on my iMac & Snow Leopard on my MBP.

I will wait till all the bugs & cooties are ironed out. That should be around 10.12.3.

I usually go by the "real" reviews on the Macworld website. Those folks are the real deal when it comes to reviwing OS upgrades.

Thank you. I'm using El Capitan on my iMac and it works great. I'm only thinking about upgrading because I like to have the latest operating system with, hopefully, updated security on my computer.

I'll take your advice about the date and I'll check the Macworld website, too.

I love that Siri is on my mac now. And he opens web pages for me. He also controls iTunes, I got him to skip the next song. The new Photos app is nice. I also like the new continuity features such as being able to copy on my mac and paste on my iphone.

Macs have always had "Speakable Items" since 1984. I've been using it since 1999. I mostly "talk" to my Macs to do what I want it to do.

Siri's voice has been on both my MBP & iMac since Snow Leopard OS. I downloaded it from a 3rd party developer. I think Macupdate website or either Mac Downloads website.

Speakable Items as of Yosemite is now called "Dictation."

System Preferences>Dictation & Speech>Text to Speech.

Click on the "Open Accessibility Preferences" button.

Click on Dictation Demands button.

Left column, scroll down to the System section. This is where "speakable items" starts to make your comp do all the work for you (outside of dictation).

You can also "add" and/or customize commands.

@Cats3000, It's a major update so it does take a while to install. I updated as soon as it was available. After the install, I did a safe boot (this can clean up problems and also can help performance), then shutdown and did a normal boot, then ran disk utility and found one file corruption. I ran a quick first aid in recovery mode and all was well -- and this likely was just an issue on my iMac. This new macOS (no more "OS X") has at least 65 security fixes which makes it rather important to install. When older versions of OS X are in use, once the security updates stop that can put the user in possible peril if they use the device online for example. So, I can understand waiting several days to update for a few more glitches to be identified and resolved but in general security updates are important. @jaxs mom, So far I like Sierra and I, too, think Siri is a nice addition (it's not the same as using the older Dictation feature, by the way, and accomplishes more for the user, but I'm glad @Mz iMac mentioned that feature for those who weren't aware).
