I just received my new Tracfone today and it is up and running but I do have a question when I receive a call you have to swipe the answer button but I keep trying to swipe the button but I can't get it to work so I miss the call. Is there any other way to answer the phone without having to swipe the button?

Thank You

@Squirt60, If this is the Premier, I'm expecting mine tomorrow. I'm assuming it will have the option to bypass that "swipe." I hate it, and my Ultimate 2 is set to answer via the home button. Go to "Settings," open "Call," and choose "Home Button Answers Phone." I can't believe they'd drop that popular option.

I know. I'm getting good at swiping lol. The phone came today, and I'm getting used to it. I like it but, like a lot of companies, LG creates a marketplace for features (LED flash notifications, clock widgets [none with the Premier]), then omits them in subsequent models but voilá--there's an app for that! Not interested, even though they're free. It's all about advertising and accessing your device. Anyway, the phone is pretty intuitive. We'll discuss it on a dedicated thread!

I don't even do that. I simply give it a hard press then immediately move my finger up. Lol, but that doesn't mean I like the swipe.

My DH had this issue too and I have finally convinced him that the secret is to keep his finger touching the screen as he swipes it. He was lifting his finger off the screen as he swiped. Try to keep your finger touching the screen throughout your entire swipe.

I have the Lg Treasure. I hate the swipe feature as I can never answer the phone. LOL!!! My problem is lifting my finger as I swipe. I need to remember to leave my finger on the screen as I swipe in order for it to work. I just don't use it enough to remember.

I have found if I press on the handset phone icon from the main screen of my phone & leave my phone on that contacts screen while I'm at home if a call comes in a little window pops up that has an answer icon, decline with message icon or decline icon. I can press on the answer icon to answer the call without swiping. You can check to see if that will work on the Premier or model phone you are using to see if that's an option.

I don't leave it on the contacts screen when I put the phone in my handbag because I think it could easily press a contact & make a call.

Ok had this problem with my first LG Ultimate2 ( I've enjoyed 2 Ultimate 2s), but then was happy to discover that you could set that [phone to answer with the home button on the bottom of the phone.

Received my new LTE Premiere from qvc and soon discovered the only way to answer was with a swipe. BUT...good news...this phone answers easily with my swipe (unlike the Ultimate2). So I'm thinking the screen is better, more sensitive maybe?

In any case, I was so relieved when I finally got a call that I was able to answer it!

I LOVE everything else about the phone - especially bigger screen- easier to read books

Also, my activation went the best ever. Previously, I did it online but then always had to call CS at whatever network it was purchased at. They always clerared things up but sometimes it took overnight.

This time I did it online, and as per the instructions, I checked my old phone after 90 minutes and it no longer worked and the new phone worked! All my many minutes of call time and data and texts transferred, as did my phone # and my remaining 4 months of service.

If anyone is about to activate, start with the blue Tracfone card that says 'Welcome guide'. It works!
