I clicked on an article in Facebook that a friend posted and accidentally downloaded MacKeeper. I went into Finder and dragged it into my Trash and then completely deleted my Trash folder. I haven't noticed anything strange on my MacBook Air yet. Have I gotten rid of it, or do I need to do more?

I've Googled this and have only found ways to uninstall it. I don't think it was installed. I would still be able to find it in Finder if it had been installed, wouldn't I? I don't know very much about computers. This has scared me, though, as it sounds like it can really do some damage.
