You can create a favorites list in the phone app and designate a different ring for each favorite contact but not place a widget on the home screen.

I do do not know if the phone will announce callers but you can check the general, accessibility, speech prompts and see if it will announce contacts like it will announce auto-corrections.

iPhone question

i used to have a windows phone. It was pretty cool, but besides it not having the variety of apps, I couldn't FaceTime my family. They all have iPhones.

So now,I have one. Question, the windows phone had 2 features that the iPhone doesn't seem to have. 1. I could have put an icon on the home screen of any person I call frequently. One touch, and it called that person. 2. It announced the caller when the phone rang.

Can the iPhone do,these 2 things? I have searched but couldn't find anything like, that on them iPhone. Any help? Thanks so much and I appreciate it.

Thanks jewels3. I did assign a different ringtone for my frequent callers, and a favorite list. The other feature on the other phone was just nicer. But I really love the iPhone and FaceTime is absolutely worth it. I was just wondering if the iPhone had it too.

Thanks so so much for your reply.

Which iPhone do you have? If you have Siri you can push the home button & say "Call Ditzy" & it'll start the call. It'll even ask if you want to call her cell or home, provided you have both numbers entered. I also have widgets for my most frequently contacted people which I can use to contact them. You have to slide past the home screen page & they are at the top.
