All of a sudden iMessage and Face Time aren't open on my macbook air. I tried logging back in and I've put in every password I can think of. My ID pops up and it isn't taking my password for that account. Any ideas?

It's always something with this laptop. I'm ready to ditch it .

Thanks for any help.

Check and see if your FaceTime is switched on and also maybe you need to download a recent update.

Go into your "Finder" at the bottom of your screen. It should be there. If you want it to show on your dashboard, drag it down and it will stay there as well as in "Finder." Hope this helps. I have a MacBook Air, also.

Which OS version are you using? El Capitan? Mavericks? Have you opened Messages and gone into preferences and made sure you're icloud or whichever account you use is activated?
