How to backup Contacts list

I have windows 7 on a desktop computer. I don't do work on it, I use it for surfing, email and games.

I would like to backup my contacts list. Could someone help me?

I am not computer literate. please use easy language.

Can you print it out then you'll have a hard copy.

Thanks for the reply but I don't have a printer. I didn't want one because I don't print anything so I figured the ink would dry up till I used it.

Okay - no printer. Guess you're left with the old fashion way - paper and pencil. Write down your info and re-enter it on your new computer, or where ever you want it.
