Norton doesn't support EDGE?

Norton on DH's notebook keeps popping up to say Norton doesn't support Edge. It asks him to download something. Does anyone know if this is safe?

I have the same problem with Kaspersky not supporting Edge. Kaspersky claims it's a Microsoft problem.

After going back in Norton popped up and asked me to download a patch. After doing this everything is ok.
