I recently purchased a pretty bracelet with a magnetic closure and wondered if he magnet would have any effect on iPad or iPhone.

No, a bracelet is not close enough to a pad to affect it. I have put my magnetic bracelet on top of my watch on the dresser only to find the time was wonky. Be very, very careful with your bracelet as they love to grab steel objects and attach to them, making them easy to lose. Magnets are a really bad idea on bracelets.

True........I had a bracelet that used to fly off my wrist and attach itself to the car as I was getting in.

Had a magnetic closure bracelet a few years ago but returned it: while eating out, I found that it kept picking up the knife, fork or spoon. Funny...not.

Also, had a Ripka heart that dangled from a magnetic front closure on a leather necklace: the magnet must have weakened and the heart was lost.

Magnets are not good ideas for jewelry closures. Period.

Hopefully you won't be close enough to anything inside the device to cause a problem. I will warn, however, against wearing a magnetic bracelet on the same arm with a watch. I found that out the hard way.......luckily the watch will be OK and can be reset after you get it away from the magnet. I don't know why the show hosts don't warn people about this when their selling the item.

Thanks to all who replied! This is the first magnetic clasp I have purchased. The clasp is super strong and doesn't come undone, but it does grab everything!

I have wondered about this in connection with my iphone/ipad in my purse with a magnetic closure. Happy to say, it doesn't seem to have affected the electronics.

When I purchased some magnetic bracelets that help (supposed to) with arthritis, they said don't wear your watch on the same arm. I also can't get on this computer if I wear them. They're pretty strongly magnetized. Just FYI
