MacBook Offer

I have an iPHONE 5s and an iPad as well as a Dell PC, rarely used. Should I buy the Mac Book being offered? Seems like Best Buy has the same one for several hundred dollars less! Of course, no extras.

It is an older model macbook pro. I would not buy it from QVC.

There is a difference between the Mac Book Pro and the Mac Book (which is much lighter even more than the Air). I have a Mac Book Pro which I love but heavy. I'm considering a Mac Book as soon as it is released (I hope, I hope) in rose gold. You might want to go to an Apple store and check out the computers.

I think you are talking about the difference between the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. I have the Pro because I wanted a 15" screen. I don't find it heavy but some may.

I have vision loss in both of my eyes. Because of that, I need big screens. I strain to read on both my iPad and iPhone. When choosing a computer you need to consider your price range and how you'll use it. A person who shops, goes to FaceBook and writes e-mails doen't need an expensive workhorse. But it doesn't mean you want a cheap computer that won't hold up.

If you have an iPad and an iPhone, and you rarely use your PC, why do you want to purchase another computer? What would you do on a Mac Book (a computer) that you can't do on your iPhone or iPad?

If you really want an Apple computer of any kind, I strongly urge you to go to an Apple Retail Store or an authrorized Apple Reseller and look at what's available. You'll get the latest Apple products available. At the Apple Store, the salespeople are extremely helpful, don't pressure you into buying anything, and have great information. And you won't get the "bundle" of extras offered by QVC that you most likely will never use.

If you do buy an Apple product and want extended service and tech support, I recommend Apple Care versus some 3rd Party company. We've used the tech support that comes with Apple Care and have been well satisfied.
