Can someone explain the difference. I am looking at 2 HP notebooks, 1 has AMD the other Intel. which is better and why

Always go for the intel. Better vfm on the long run.

One is not any better than the other. It all comes down to what you will be using your computer for. You might want to do a search based on your computer needs as far as what you're looking to accomplish using a computer.
