New Tracfone TS At HSN

I think that's the first 4G LTE Tracfone. Everything before this has been a 3G phone. I may upgrade to that in January when my current minutes expire.

I thought your minutes can be added to your new phone? That's what I did when I got my new phone.

When you use a TracFone, there are two components to consider. First are your minutes which can carry over to a new phone. The second is your period of service, typicalły one year when you purchase one of these package deals. The year starts the day you activate your phone and any time you had on your old phone is lost. That's why you want to purchase within a few weeks of your phone's expiration date.

Do you mean you may upgrade when your airtime expires? Minutes left can just be tranfered.

Looks like a good one. I ordered last week the same phone I have had for almost a year now. I have a Samsung Centura and am happy with it, and since my year expires on the 26th? It is scheduled for delivery tomorrow.

For my use the Centura does what I need, so it was cheaper to buy a new one than add minutes. At $79.95 delivered, that is about $6.50 per month. Add my 3,000 of texts/data and minutes to the 1200 with this new one? I did get a different color cover, so not exactly the same. Might also be a newer version of Android, didn't even check.

This is one of the first branded Tracfones to have 4G and the newest operating system...Lollypop 5.0. It is one of the first Tracfone smartphones to run off the AT&T network, so it does have a simcard. It has a nice, big screen the same size as my Ultimate 2. Unlike the U2 that only has a dual core processor, the Sunset has a quad-core processor. When you upgrade from one TF to another, you do not lose days of service or minutes. You activate the phone first, and all airtime and minutes are transferred to the new phone. Then you add the 365 day/400 minute promotion (triples to 1200), and it is added to the existing days/ minutes that transferred. I bought a new phone last September and then upgraded in December. My service time does not expire until May of 2017, and I have a ton of talk, texts, and data to use.

I've been waiting patiently for this. I've used TracFone for almost 10 years without a problem I live in AT&T territory so I needed a GSM based phone, and the features on this one are superb. When I bought my last TracFone about 3 years ago, the time and minutes did transfer. The phone I am using now is an LG and it is the best cell I have ever had.

This is the 1st Android Tracfone that works in our zip code. Yay. It's about time. I bought the paisley for myself & bought the black for DH. I still have almost 1,000 mins on my other Tracfone. Do I need to put some kind of virus protection on this phone? If so What? I heard them say about putting their Viper on the phone but I'm not buying that. I guess DH may need it on his phone buy I don't plan on surfing the web with a phone. LOL!!!

Tracfones are a prepaid no contract phones. I don't know about T mobile. Tracfone uses both t mobile and Verizon servioce so it is very good coverage.

T-mobile is no contract prepaid also......that said I went ahead and took advantage of HSN's TS. The online demo sold me on it. The price is way too good to pass up.

This pretty much depends on where you live. T-Mobile is almost non-existent in our area of Nebraska. Not sure of this new phone of mine, but the one expiring in 2 days has AT&Tand T-Mobile. I have never experieced dropped calls.

You should be able to find a map of the US on each carriers website that will show you how much coverage you have in your area.

It's just a faster way of moving data. I should point out that there are (or were the last I checked) some 3G networks that were faster than 4G networks, but in theory 4G should be faster.

I don't believe this info is correct. It's my understanding that if you have a phone the year is added to the time you have now.

I got the TS - faster (4G), better camera, 2 cameras F&B. I've had tracfones for many years.

That is not correct. When you transfer from one Tracfone to another, both your minutes and your days of service transfer. (They even point this out in presentations.)

I've had nothing but Tracfones for the past 14 years and I've upgraded many times. Each time all my minutes and service transferred and any new minutes and service were added on to my existing balance.

For example: if you have 500 minutes left on your current phone and 90 days of service and you buy a new Tracfone with the special promotion of 1200 minutes and a year of service, you will end up with 1700 minutes and a year and 90 days of service on your new phone.

If anyone is in doubt, he or she should check the Tracfone website. (I currently have service until 2018, as a result of upgrading many times!)

The Tracfone deals on QVC and HSN can't be beat anywhere else, from my experience.

I wouldn't wait until your airtime actually expires. It's my understanding that, if you let your airtime run out, you will lose any minutes you have. You can upgrade any time before your airtime expires and everything will just transfer to your new phone.

For those that are not familiar with Tracfone, if you have just a Regular tracfone when you transfer to an Android Tracfone your minutes,data and text will triple. BUT if you already have an Android Tracfone and are transfering to a newer Android they will not TRIPLE when you transfer. But your service will transfer and be extended.
