I’ve only had the Echo for about two weeks and am not tech savvy by any means, but what I found most useful about this website (so far) was access to radio stations. I’ve read where others linked their favorite radio stations like iHeart and Pandora to the Echo thru their accounts. I’m not a big radio fan, but do like to listen to radio on occasion. This website provided a list of several radio stations that can be accessed by saying, “Alexa, play [number on the dial] [station name] on Tunein.” There’s a link for supported TuneIn stations from around the world. I clicked my way to North America / United States / Illinois to Chicago and called out a couple of stations for Alexa to play and they worked. On the Amazon discussion board, April (she’s the creator of the lovemyecho website) says to try calling out any of your desired stations to see if they are available to play on TuneIn.

Just clicked on Amazon and I see that they are offering the Echo to everyone at $179.99.

The Amazon Appstore has the free Echo app which can turn an Android or Amazon Fire device into an Echo remote, so no need to by one.

Just to give folks a head's up, we discussed on another thread about occasionally the Echo would stop streaming. It would happen when I was listening to music or a radio station but today it stopped when I asked about the weather.

Now I love my beloved Amazon but I personally have a hard time finding the right place for their customer service so I decided to tell them I was returning it and described the problem I was having.

Just to let you know, it stops you dead in your tracks and says hold on we'll send you a message which they did about an hour later. I have the option of either calling, emailing or chatting with them as they are confident they can resolve my issue but the best part is the Echo comes with a full one year warranty which I was not aware of.

I have a lot going on right now so I'll probably call them on Friday but they are doing a great job supporting this product.

mtc, sorry to hear that about your Echo. I have read where others have had their Echo stop, but that customer service has always come thru for them and fixed the problem. There was only one that I read about who actually had to return it but was sent another one in no time flat. Hope all works out well with yours and look forward to your update.
