You may need to re-download the Tracfone My Account App if it doesn't work right. Mine worked one day and then not the next. I deleted and reinstalled and it is now fine. I haven't had any problems other than the Flashlight app doesn't work. I want to delete this but not sure if it is needed anywhere on the Android system? Does anyone have a trusted app to keep unneeded apps from running in the background? I shut my data off as I run mine at home on wi-fi setting. I put in 54 Contacts and then accidentally deleted them! I put them all back in yesterday.I set all the contacts for family with the red LED light, my friends with the pink and left the rest the green-which was the default. It is different than my last Tracfone so I am still experiencing with it. The screen is beautiful and easy to hold to talk on. The Tracfone Downloader App that came on it has never worked. The battery life is very good as I have only charged mine once since the original charging. What are your experiences and suggestions for others? The online tutorial is excellent as it walks you through all the basics.

I use JuiceDefender on my Samsung Galaxy S4 to save battery life and shut down the Wi-Fi etc. http://www.juicedefender.com/

I use Cleanmaster app to remove junk from my Android devices. You can find both apps in the Google Play Store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cleanmaster.mguard

Why do you need all those apps to clean and turn off wifi when you can do that in the settings, juice defender is dumb and does nothing but create a placebo effect.

Have you downloaded (on a computer) the manual on the phone? I would like to print it but it's 100-some pages. I just set my phone up last night, but the manual explained what to do to stop programs that are running in the background. I guess the question is, are any of them necessary for some needed/wanted function.

Can you download ringtones to this phone? It let me buy one from the Tracfone site online and but it came in as a text message not a download but would not open. I miss the ones I had on my old Tracfone. Thanks.

I love the phone and just needed to see if anyone else was successful in getting the Ringtones. I don't know if I put some music on the SD card if it would work that way.

I found this online and Tracfone states this model can not get ringtones or graphics from their site.

I found a Free app in the Google Play Store called ZEDGE that will let you download ringtones for your Android Tracfone TSV. It has some funny ones also. Check it out. I found my Old Time Rock and Roll so I have my ringtone back when my phone rings. Good memories of my kids with that song.

Thx for the Zedge info. I found it and downloaded a great country ringtone. Love it.

jenagal Glad you like the Zedge app. I have been playing with it this morning and have songs that fit each of my family members and friends. I love the daughter one to music. If I find anymore interesting apps I will post. I love advice on our new Tracfones as we may know it and forget others don't. Best of all this app is free.

I was eventually able to add additional accounts to mine, but it was a tick clunky and confusing. I believe I had to hit the back button to bring up a different screen when it wouldn't automatically connect to my e-mail servers, and then it would let me directly enter the required information. It was a clunky and confusing approach, but stick with it and eventually you should be able to get them in. (It's been over a month since I did it, so sorry for the vagueness.) You either keep hitting the enter button or the back button (I think it was the back button) when it fails to connect and you'll eventually get the screen for direct entry. Once you've entered the correct e-mail information it'll then connect and work fine.

How to Add a Google Account
Category:: Getting Started

From the Main Screen, tap the "Google" folder.

Note: To access the Play Store, as well as some of the other applications on your Android phone, you will need to add or create a free Google Account. A Google Account is the same as a Gmail Account.

Tap the "Gmail" icon.

Follow the tutorial on your screen to add or create your Google Account.

Accept the Policy will come up as you add this Gmail account also.

To return to the main screen, press the HOME key

How to Add Email Accounts.

Set up Email
Category:: Email

From the main screen, tap the "Apps" icon.

Tap the "Email" icon.

Select the desired account type.

The "Email address" bar will be highlighted. Enter your email address.

Tap the "Password" bar. Enter your password.

Tap "Next." Your account will be verified.

Edit the account name as desired. Tap "Done."

To return to the main screen, press the HOME key.
