Internet Explorer has stopped working .......... anyone know how to fix it?

My DH & I have tried everything we know to, we ran our Norton Security and it supposedly fixed all problems, but I still cannot get into it!

I haven't even used Explorer anymore since I downloaded Google Chrome on my home laptop. I love it. You should really do that and forget Explorer (hope it's not something with your computer, though.........wish I could help).

I only use IE as a back up. Prefer Google Chrome.

what version do you have? even 8 is not great anymore especially if you have a newer computer. try to download firefox browser and use that instead or google chrome. good luck!

If you want help with software, providing more details, like which version you are using and which operating system you have will get you better answers.

Without knowing any of that, I would uninstall Internet Explorer and install a newer version.

Go to Google Chrome, very easy to install, if I could do it, and I did, anyone can.

Thanks everyone!!! I hate to say this, but my DH was right ..... he suggested Google Chrome too, so Google Chrome it is!

I use Chrome too. Everyone should have downloaded at least one other browser, to use in case something goes wrong with the other.

Was there some sort of Microsoft update recently? I am on apple, so don't know. But between your post, and another about Outlook not working, I am thinking that this latest Microsoft update did something to everyone's computer settings.

I use Mozilla Firefox...got tired of fooling with Explorer; more trouble than it's worth.

I use both Chrome and Explorer. Check for update at Microsoft. Try running a full scan with a Norton. I would not ignore this.

I've never had a problem with IE. Have no idea what I'm doing right.
