The extension headphone cords are great and there are different lengths.

My favorite pair of headphones are Sennheisers. I forgot the entire model number, but it ends in 55. I also have Sennheiser earbuds and a set of Sennheiser wireless headphones for tv watching.

It's a great brand with beautiful sound. I just looked mine up and they are model HD555 but it has a newer model which is HD558. The comfort is just amazing. I just have a regular-size girl head so they are perfect for me on the smallest setting. But, like other headphones, they pull out on both sides for different sizes.

Hello Everyone,

I've come here because I was unable to find what I needed for my husband's birthday per my son-in-law's recommendation.

My husband wants earphones (not buds) that plug into his computer (not laptop), that are comfortable and have a long cord. My SIL recommended Logiteh or Plantronics, both of which he uses. Unfortunately, I can't find earphones from either company without the speaking mouthpiece attached, for which I don't want to pay and don't need.

Can any of you make a suggestion. I'm willing to pay $150-175.

Many thanks in advance for your help on a subject of which I know absolutely nothing.

Regards,

Rebecca

What does he plan on listening to? I love my Sennheiser's but for just normal computer stuff they would be overkill. I don't know how you choose headphones for someone else anyway, sound preferences are personal unless he just doesn't care in which case any old set will do. Personally I wouldn't want my husband choosing headphones for me, especially not in that price range. I'd rather choose myself so I get the ones that sound best to me.

I've got a box full of misc audio cables.

That's what I use, although I probably got the extension and the headphones at Amazon.

I think cords for headphones are probably all a pretty standard length. The extension headphone cords are great and there are different lengths.

My favorite pair of headphones are Sennheisers. I forgot the entire model number, but it ends in 55. There are probably newer models out now, though.

Thank you, chickenbutt. I'm definitely checking our Sennheisers. Thanks for taking the time out to share your information.

Glad to help! I have several things in the Sennheiser brand and love them all. I have the big ones I talked about here - they are so beautifully cushy and comfortable with awesome sound.

Thank you for the model update. Please know I appreciate it so much. Now I'm off to take a look at the models everyone recommended and will make a purchase today.
