      <title>Windows 7, IE11 Problems</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have an HP computer and am running Windows 7 with IE 11.  In the past few weeks I am now having trouble with IE11.  When I click on a page sometimes it will open and other times it says it is loading and the circle up top shows it loading but I get nothing.  I then have to go back to the last page I was viewing and click again on the same thing and then the page opens right up.  I have run a complete virus scan 3 times and all is good or so it says.  I am not very good with computers so I have no clue as to what is going on.  Not sure if this helps but also am running 64 bit.  Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Or is it just happening on the QVC site? &lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;In addition to deleting temporary files noted above, you could be having some router connection problems. Make sure everything is plugged into the router tightly. Then also try doing a reboot of the router. This sometimes help to correct connection speeds. &lt;/P&gt;</description>

It happens on QVC and other sites like Coach, etc. &lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;I am not wireless but did check all of the connections especially to the modem.  I just remembered that I had to get a new modem around the time that this all started but it is the correct modem.  I am going to disconnect the wires and reconnect and see if that helps.       <description>&lt;P&gt;I second the suggestion to use a different browser. I typically use Chrome when I'm on my PC. IE is a Web app developer's nightmare. It just isn't the most stable. Trust us on that.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Regardless, it could be a problem with the Web site itself. You could be trying to access a page at the same time as a lot of other people. But if it is happening all the time you really should try a new browser.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

The lights are all green so I am thinking the Internet Connection is good.  I am thinking that it may be something else because my DH put in a disc that he uses for business and it usually works and now it will no longer open.  Before I install a new browser I want to be sure that it is the browser.  I am thinking of sending it out to the shop to be fixed.  Thank you for your help. It all started when I had to get a new modem about a month ago.  Up until then I used IE for 9 years with the same modem and server.  I am not sure when Microsoft changed it to IE 11.  As I mentioned I want to have the computer which is a year old checked out first then I will change the browser. &lt;/P&gt;</description>

There are often browser issues that are fixed with those regular updates.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;I hope you find your problem.  Being a novice device user myself, I know how frustrating all this can be at times.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;IE's problems are complicated. I'm not a developer although I work all day with developers and here is how I understand it.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Industry standards have been developed for Web sites. Chrome and Firefox (to name two of the most common) were created after those standards were developed. They follow the industry standards.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;IE was created before those industry standards and I guess their code base makes it difficult for IE to follow them. So they don't. Any Web sites that are written to industry standards work fine on Chrome and Firefox but MAY not work well if you use IE. Developers have to write additional code in the Web pages to handle all the exceptions for IE. That's a lot of extra work for the developers and they may not even remember to code for all those "weird" exceptions. If IE would just "get with the program" all Web sites would work just as well in IE as they do in Chrome and Firefox.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Until Microsoft creates an IE version that works with the industry standards users of IE will most likely to continue to experience problems, especially noticeable every time IE releases a new version. Developers have to go back into their code to fix all the IE errors that could arise while Chrome and Firefox more or less fix themselves due to the standards.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;I know I didn't explain that perfectly but perhaps it gives some insight. Easiest fix is to just use something other than IE. Both Chrome and Firefox are better. I use Chrome because I have a business gmail account and cloud storage that work better in Chrome.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I would like to say that I've been a Web software tester for years and EVERY time IE releases a new version we have to test the software on that new version. Changes to the software are always required. And fixes to solve issues for the new IE often break it for users of the older IE versions. So the software has to be retested for almost ALL IE versions. It is a NIGHTMARE!!&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Chrome and Firefox don't have that issue. If the software works in Chrome and Firefox it continues to work in them. Notice that you don't have to install Chrome 10 or Chrome 11, etc. It's simply Chrome. Yes it does have version numbers and it does update but it's not the kind of change that requires Web sites to change their code. The Web sites are written to standards, Chrome is written to standards, and changes to the Web site or Chrome don't break anything (usually). The same is NOT true for IE. It's always being broken by changes to the Web site or IE. &lt;/P&gt;</description>

I am having the fellow that put everything on here come over to see if he thinks it is my modem.  If not then I will speak to him about a new browser like Chrome or Firefox.  I do use Windows Live for my email and it works perfectly fine and I actually love it.  Having that I may have to keep IE but may be able to have 2. I miss so many that I didn't know came in.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;/BLOCKQUOTE&gt; I have a Gmail account and it divides the mail for you. Have you click on the different tabs? One of them is labeled promotions. You can always check your settings and find it it's blocking your mail because it thinks it's spam. You have to keep IE because it's a part of the operating system. That doesn't mean you have to use it. I still have a Windows machine and I use Firefox with it. In fact, I use Firefox with my Apple computers. You can have as many browsers you want. I have Chrome installed on my Dell but never use it. Should IE or Firefox get corrupted or fail to work, I have another browser to get online. It's always best to have more than one browser installed. If you have a program that doesn't work well, go to the manufacturer's web site and look for updates.</description>
