When IOS 7 came out, I did not want to upgrade to it because of statements from customers saying the new screen made them nauseous. Now, since QVC has changed their site to mobile, I can no longer see images of each item, as I shop, until I click on the written name of the item. If you still have IO S 6, with an IPhone 4S, do you have the same issue?

Nauseous? You can turn that feature off, if what you are talking about is the screen moving when you move the phone. QVC didn't change their site to mobile. Every major website has a "Desktop" and "MOBILE" version depending on what browser it detects or if you set it that way on your phone.

Mindy D, The “motion” sensation is called Parallax.

The original iOS 7 had a feature to partially disable it:

Go to Settings, then Accessibility, then turn “Reduce Motion” to the “on” setting.

In iOS 7.1, they also added the ability to further disable parallax. There are many articles explaining it if you do a search, but here’s one:

“Apple did provide a method for reducing the motion affect, but not a way to disable it across the board.

With the release of iOS 7.1, the ability to turn off what Apple calls "Perspective Zoom" (parallax backgrounds) on your home screen is now possible…

Go into your iOS device's Settings followed by Wallpapers & Brightness. Instead of tapping on Choose a New Wallpaper, tap on your current wallpaper preview below.

This is where you can adjust the zoom and reposition your wallpaper to your liking. In addition to adjusting it, you'll now find a button to turn off Perspective Zoom (go to link to see examples).

Tapping on Perspective Zoom will turn off any motion seen on the background image on your home screen.

Should you decide at a later time you'd prefer to have the motion back, you can return to this screen and select the same button to toggle it back on.”

(links go to: http://www.cnet.com/how-to/how-to-reduce-background-motion-parallax-on-ios-7/ published 9/23/13

and

http://www.cnet.com/how-to/how-to-completely-turn-off-parallax-wallpapers-on-ios-7-1/ published 3/10/14)

With a more current version of iOS you can avoid some of the compatibility problems you might encounter with iOS 6 (such as the ones you've described with QVC's site). Hope that's helpful.

Sorry Robert, whenever I use the QVC site on my IPhone I access it the same way. I should have said, when QVC made changes to it's mobile site. itThis change on my phone happened right after the Q advertised changes were being made to mobile, and then the changes appeared on my phone. It remains the same, if I try to switch to desktop on the phone. There are no photos of items as I scroll through descriptions. Photos appear when I select the item and the site sends me to the item's page. I was just wondering if IOS6 was the reason it does this. I am not going to update to IOS7, until I see someone's screen, with 7 on it, who has done what was suggested here. Thank you.

I haven't updated my iPads either. My husband updated his iPad 3 to iOS 7 and my girlfriend and I don't like it at all. Especially the note pad is now white and not yellow with lines. But we can't use Facetime anymore on OS 6 so my friend is going to update hers. I have a new mini iPad and don't really use my iPad2 anymore so I guess I'll update the iPad2 to 7 so I can facetime. We've been using Skype instead.

Are you using the internet browser Safari on the IPhone that came with it? There is a free app called Puffin that allows you to play videos and content that I can not get with my iPad 4 browser that came with it. I have the 7.1 update on mine. There is also an app called Mercury that is good.

I liked the Puffin free app and decided to buy the upgraded one. Works perfect and you can do several things with it by swiping your finger to the left on the right edge of the screen. It has settings, bookmarks, downloads, and a place to clear Puffin browser History and Cache under History. More settings also. maybe this would help.

If there is an update right before I go on another trip, I will wait until I come home. Otherwise, I update when they are offered.
