I get that message from time to time, but more often, when watching Netflix with my Roku 3 the show/movie I'm watching just stops and I get a message saying that I should try watching later. I have to go back to the Netflix home page and click through again and wait for it to reload. It will usually start playing where I left off but it may take several tries. Irritating, but I'm not sure it's a Roku issue, a Netflix issue, or an issue with my cable/internet provider.

Roku 3 - Still Watching?

We recently purchased the Roku 3. We have too much foliage and cannot seem to get Dish Service. We love the Roku except when watching QVC. After about an hour, we get a message asking if we are still watching QVC. This is the only channel we have had this problem with. I am not always in the room, usually just listening to the program and I need to stop what I'm doing, go into the living room and click ok. This is not a big problem but it is very annoying. I contacted Roku and they said it is with the QVC Channel. I contacted QVC and they said it is a setting in the Roku. Does anyone know how I can turn this off? Guess I can turn QVC off - that would solve the problem, but really, how do I fix this? Thank you!

Hi Mine does the same thing-so annoying. I gave up and only do QVC online now. Don't want to sit and watch when I can see the videos online. But for other problems I always go to live chat on the Roku site. Sometimes they are helpful sometimes not. You can look through helpful hints and see if there is an answer also.

I have had it for 4 years now and I like it. I was never a big TV watcher-only watching certain programs and paying way too much for the junk that is on now. I used to spend 20 min surfing and not watching. So I get to pick what I want now. 7.99 for Netflix. Hundreds of channels and some games. I only use Comcast for the internet.

I've got the Roku Streaming Media Stick. I get the "Still listening?" question with other channels, too.

I mostly listen to music on mine. I found out that it will stop due to inactivity if you don't let it know you're still listening. I think an option to skip that would be nice.

What I get with QVC only is a frequent message saying there was a network error & to check my Internet connection. I click OK & it takes me back to my home page where I have to select the channel again. Very annoying & I put up with it a couple times then give up and switch channels. My connection is fine.

I have not had Roku for long & am still learning.

My one complaint is that most of the free things are really old and not anything I am interested in watching. To really enjoy it is going to cost me more money. Hulu Plus, Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.

I like listening to music on it, I like being able to view shopping on my TV as it frees up my computer for other things. I tried streaming live local news but it did not work well at all.

It seems to be an internet issue. I've called my server and they send a reboot and then Roku is fine. I also do a reboot myself unplug Roku box from the back, and the server box and internet box all at once-wait a few minutes re plug them all and that works also

I've got 3 Roku boxes and love them. That message to click OK may be helpful if you forget to shut QVC off when you're finished watching. Otherwise, if your ISP has a restriction on how many GB's you can stream per month, you may have to pay extra to your internet provider for going over your limit.

Love the Roku (I have three of the Roku3 units), but I've never watched any sort of live tv with it. Sorry it's been problematic but I have a feeling it's more from QVC's end, or your internet connection possibly, than the fault of the Roku.

I mostly use mine with Netflix streaming and it's totally worth the $7.99 a month just for that. It's not going to replace cable tv, however, so I hope people have a clear vision of what it DOES do and what it DOES NOT do in that respect.

I don't have any problems streaming and I don't even have cable internet. I just have ATT Pro level DSL and it streams flawlessly.

Thank you all for the responses. I have decided Roku is excellent. The constant interruption on the QVC channel keeps me from watching too much QVC. I switch to other channels that do not have the Network Error (there is no problem with my network) and "still watching" question. I can listen to other channels or music just fine.

We have the Apple TV and now the Roku. We find the Roku easier to navigate through and hubby thinks the picture is better. I'm not sure about the picture but I do like the ease of navigation and the Apple does not have many TV Channels other than what is on Hulu. I do like the interaction with my IPod and Apple devices with the Apple box but if we had purchased the Roku first, not sure if I would have purchased the Apple Box.
