Are you talking about when you insert a photo into email on your iPad? I just choose medium. I figured small would come out to be the small size in the example shown above in OP when the person gets my email. Large would probably take up a large about of page space, not to mention how much data space making the size of the email a very large file. Figured I would be safe with medium size. Medium is always a happy medium, lol.

Lol @ let's practice. Agree with you, can't stand the big pictures in posts that take up the page.

Okay, I've practiced in Photobucket and Tiny Pic and neither worked. All I can do is copy the HTML code which is supposed to produce the picture but all it does is copy the code into the board "post a reply" area.

In tinypic.com, the picture is produced next to the HTML code...just copy/paste.

kachina, it will only show the code until you Submit the post, then your graphic should display. That's what I do thru PhotoBucket--copy and paste the HTML code here.

When resizing photos there to post here, they should be no wider than 460 to stay within the thread margins. You can go back and resize them there after posting here, too, if you forget.

If you go to quote this post, you will see the above graphic's HTML code within my post. If you actually submit the quote, the graphic will display again. HTH!

On my laptop I used to just copy and paste photos from anywhere. Is there no way to do do that with an iPad. You have to upload phot So first to a photobucket? Oh man! My laptop burned out next week and I am looking for a new laptop. Right now I use my husbands ipad, and not too fond of it. I miss just clicking on a photo online and pasting it in my thread. Whaaaaaa!

Just use tinypic.com...super easy...I do everything on my iPad...post a pic!!

No Shoekitty, you can't use the simply copy and paste with an iPad. You have to first upload your picture to one of the photo processing websites like Photobucket.

I started a thread on this moons ago....hope this helps!!! BTW...yet to figure out why some of the little emoticons show up & sometimes they don't. If I use them by themselves, they work. Practice on this thread!!

iPad Trick: Paragraph, Bold, Underline, Italic AND Emoticon Function...problem solved!

If you're like me, I spend ALOT of time in my iPad....even if my Mac is in the same room, I'll type on my iPad. Of course we all know QVC gives us "little print" with no option for bold, underline, italics & paragraphs and EMOTICONS. I'VE FOUND A WAY! Granted there's a little work on the front end, but it's an option.

If you "quote" a poster, you'll see all the CODE that's embedded...and that's what you'll use. For illustration purposes only, I'll add a "$" so you can see the code without iPad inverting it to Code. REMOVE the $ to have it work, okay? There are 2 codes for each action...one to start & another to end.

I've even created a shortcut by going to Settings - General - Keyboard & created a shortcut for each action.

BTW, I've typed all this out on my iPad!

SidsMom, do you have any tips on copying a link on an iPad? I use a stylus with my mini, but I can't figure out how to highlight what I want. I press down with my stylus, and a word will be highlighted. But, I don't know how to mark a start and end for the copy. TIA!

Good question bagsers. I'd like to know too. Someone posted a lot of short cuts a couple months ago and I've been using them but they're a little different than yours. Like word for italics. Same thing with a b or u for bold or underline.

I knew that would happen. Italiacs, bold and underline have <> with an I, or u in the middle on either side of the letter.

You can touch a word with your fingertip & hold it for a second, the text will be highlighted & a COPY box will appear...click on COPY. Go to finish location & tap where you want it & a PASTE box will appear. BTW...I haven't worked w/ the mini, but all Apple products should be the same. Does this answer your question?

Thanks SidsMom! I just found this Googling: The key is pretty much the same as the cursor placement tutorial, which relies on the mini-magnifying glass. Just touch a word and hold it until the magnifying glass comes out. Let go and the word will be highlighted plus also have two pull bars on both ends. You can then simply tap the "Copy" bubble that comes out or drag the handles to highlight more words. --- I never noticed the pull bars before. Had to have seen them thousands of times. Lol!
