Confusing Package From Best Buy

Today I got a package delivered by UPS from Best Buy. Not having ordered anything I thought it must be a mistake. It came with a letter stating "We noticed that you purchased a Modal iPad Air protective folio from Best Buy last year and you may not have experienced the level of quality we expect to provide our customers. Our designers have made some improvements to the product that we thought you might appreciate, such as the updated "wake/sleep functionality. Please enjoy this complimentary upgraded folio for your iPad Air." I bought a Apple cover and was wondering does Modal make them for Apple? Never having owned an iPad before I think my cover works fine. I'm puzzled as to why I was sent this.

Did you open it? Was there some sort of letter with further explanation. I guess if it was meant for you, then enjoy it. Hope it works well for you.

The letter seems pretty explanatory to me. What else could they say to explain why they sent it?

Alot of items that you buy online from best buy actually come from "best buy marketplace" which is actually a bunch of outside vendors. (Loke amazon) there are occasions when a vendor sells an item that has issues and they send out free replacements (both Best Buy and Amazon) these are reputable vendors who do this on their own accord, and it is quite common

I'm puzzled as to why the letter tells you exactly why they sent it to you and you still don't get it. I am also puzzled as to why you would go to QVC for something that came from Bestbuy. Tomorrow I am going to Chevrolet because my Mercedes is acting up.

Well weren't you very helpful. I asked because there are a lot of very knowledgeable people on these boards. Also I've seen topics more obscure than this and at least it's in the right forum. I just didn't understand why I was sent a Modal cover when I bought an Apple one. You have a good day.

I think the poster is confused because she bought an Apple brand case and was sent a Modal brand case to replace it.

Personally, I'd be thanking the customer service stars that anyone cared enough to make good on something without my having to ask.

You don't need to justify anything to ignorant people. This person gets a rise out of the responses for ignorant posts. Not once have I seen anything helpful posted. I mean seriously, why does this person even waste their time posting here? Ignore is your best friend.
