It looked like a good deal to me although I noticed the minutes are only good for 6 months instead of a year. So it's not great for people who don't use the phone much. I have had 3 LG tracfones and love them but I'm not familiar with this model. You should know that this is NOT an Android phone so you can't download apps which will make it harder to use to surf the net and check emails.

Good catch on the 6 months. I always assume the airtime is good for a year. I bought an Android Tracfone (LG L39C) a few weeks ago and I'm really liking it so far. But I think the 305C is a good deal. People should take note that this is a CDMA phone and uses Verizon's and Sprint's cell phone towers, so if those companies don't come in in your area, this phone is not for you.

I have the LG 306g that looks just like this new one. I really like it. Does anyone know the difference between the two models? Maybe worth it to purchase?

The phones run on different networks. LG306G runs on AT&T/T-Mobile, and LG306C is Verizon/Sprint?. You should check service in your area.

Thanks Nutmeg3 for the explanation of the C network(Verizon) vs. G(AT&T) The model # I have is 306, the new one is 305. Does anyone know how they differ? Thank you, electronically inclined people for your patience with a newbie!!!!!

this one also says 6 mo use on the minutes. What I do like though is 3 texts per minute of use which most now seem to be 1 min per text. Good price for the amount of minutes though even if you did have to add an air card 6 months. You usually get an extra couple of months just for activating the phone, if I'm not mistaken. If you're transferring from another phone, any time you have on that should also carry over.

Good point, betteb. You can only access the net on this phone if there is a WiFi connection. I think it's misleading to call this a smart phone. It's not a good deal.

You CAN access the net without a WIFI connection, but it will use minutes. My current phone is like this. My question is,will the 900+ days I currently have extend the 6 months, or will the balance of the 2000 minutes disappear? Thanks!

OMG. It's not an android and if you think it is, please buy 5 or 6 of them and let me know how the google play store works for you, or how the only thing you can do is run a pointless facebook app that's 4 years out of date.
