I assume you mean you downloaded the app from the App Store. Delete the app from the iPad, then download again. See if that helps.

Thanks, I only use the thing when I'm waiting at doctor appointments and such. I've had the Chrome app for awhile but they offered an upgrade so I took it and now the app won't open. I'll delete and start over as per your suggestion.

Well, that didn't work. It still won't open. It worked great until I accepted the upgrade. Arrrrgh!

Earlier this week there was a problem with an update for Chrome on PC's (not sure about Mac's) that had some kind of glitch causing a conflict so Chrome wouldn't open on PC's as well. There was a short mention of it on the website for our newspaper. I think there was a workaround under the Help section in the Google Forums for Chrome. I'm sorry I'm not much help, but you might want to check out what the forum answers were.

I am not sure why people prefer something other than Safari on Mac products? Yes, you can download the app for others and use them. Personally, I like Safari. It works well and it very fast on all of my devices. I see no need to use anything else.

Sorry this didn't work, but as someone else posted, there seems to be a problem with the upgrade.

But, keep this tip in mind if ever you have a problem with any app. When I do, if I delete it, then download it again it works again. Luckily, I've only had to do this one or two times. I don't see too many problems with any of my Mac products.

What is it, specifically, about Safari that you don't like? What makes firefox (or others) better?

The most important is the ability to enlarge the print by holding down the command key and using the scroll wheel. It doesn't work with Safari.

I just prefer Chrome because that is what I use on my PC and since I only use my Ipad occasionally in waiting rooms it's just easier because it's familiar.

Our Ipad was purchased to be used as a speech device for my son but that didn't pan out but since we invested so much in the speech app, etc. for him I don't have it set up for myself......yet. He starts with a new teacher next year and she may have better luck with the Ipad so I'm not quite ready to throw in the towel and call if mine yet.

I'm sure I'll do fine with Safari. Thank you all.
