Can't "go back" on Facebook

Recently I've found that when I click on some links posted on Facebook, I don't have a "back arrow" to return to my FB news feed, where I previously was. The "escape" button doesn't work, either, and it seems I have to close the browser and start all over on FB to re-find my place. Anybody know why this would be and what I can do to fix it? I used to always find "back buttons" on links I opened there, or I could click "escape" and return to my FB news feed.

Just an annoying something that has started happening.

Could it be that the next page is opening in a new window and the original page is still open on another tab? Many web pages have this type of setting that when you click a link you don't actually leave the original page, it stays open in the background. The new page is a new window or a new tab.

Look at the top of your window the next time and see if you notice that there are two pages open, then just click on the original page to get back to where you were.

or another tip i just remembered. Instead of clicking on a link, RIGHT click using your mouse and choose "open in a new window" this will keep the original page open and then after viewing the linked page, close that window and your original is still there to find your place.
