Kitkat Update - Has anyone seen the fix for the recent update?

I have read it is imminent.

I can't connect to my home wifi or get more than 3g (with 1x) since the update.

It's not tragic as I use my laptop and table more than my phone, but it's just annoying.

Has anyone see it available yet?

What phone do you have? My Verizon Samsung S4 updated to KitKat last week. You may have to check settings. Things may have gone back to defaults, or out of the box. Verizon and AT&T have community forums, that might help with Android update problems. You may need to contact your cellphone company. My phone is working fine in 4G, and Wi-Fi.

Thanks. It's a known issue. The stores were iniitally giving people new phones with Jellybean to get them up and running again before the realized it was so widespread.

We just have to wait for the update. I keep reading it's imminent as of last week.

What a mess KitKat is! I hate the upgrade! I couldn't even answer my phone for a couple of days, until I did a complete reboot. I hope the update to KitKat comes soon.

My understanding was they created this update to make the Droids more like iPhones. Well, frankly, if I wanted a flippin' iPhone, I'd buy one! I have a Droid Razr Maxx HD, which was a great phone for me. This update? Took a great phone and trashed it. What a mess.

I know! So many people have worse problems than I do with mine, especially people who use theirs for business.

I hear there are problems with contacts and in the beginning they were recommending factory resets for people and those who did that regret it.

I am just sitting on my hands and using my table and landline until it's fixed.

Thanks for starting this thread. My sister has a Samsung Galaxy S4 and I told her to hold off on the update for a bit. She said she hasn't received any info yet about updating. Maybe they do it in batches?

Yes, my understanding is they rolled it out over a long period of time. I was reading out it a couple of weeks before it showed up on my phone.

I was trying to do a survey on my phone last night at the grocery store (see my other thread about that) and I had no signal. I had to keep walking to the window to get a signal and then I kept getting low memory errors when I was trying to do the pictures they needed.

So annoying.

Yes they do it in batches. And they have this thing called a website where you can see when and if updates are coming.
