Problem downloading books on to two kindles

DH has the original kindle and the fire. He used to be able to get them on both, but now will not download on the fire. Anyone know why not? I can't seem to find the answer on Amazon's site either. TIA

Maybe someone here will know, if not, I'd call amazon if I were you. They have super good CS, in my experience.

Are you using the Manage My Devices (under your account tab) to send the book to both devices?

Did he try the following which I found on the Amazon Kindle site . . .

If it does not work, I would contact Amazon Kindle Customer Service.

I was going to say the same thing that Palm Tree said. Use the manage my device tab. Make sure the device is charged, wireless on. We have one kindle and kindle apps on two computers and two phones.
