Just Got My First Smartphone and Have a Question.........

I just got the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and am wondering if I need antivirus. I know the Apple products don't need it, but what about Android?

I'm constantly amazed by all you smart posters here, so I am relying on you to answer my question. Thanks in advance.

I use a free version of Norton Mobile Anti-virus on my S4. You can find this app in the Google play Store. Enjoy your new phone.

I have the same phone. Love the phone but I did not add anti virus. You got me thinking. I will check to see if it comes with it. I do remember my last smart phone and the people from the Sprint store telling me not to put it on since it takes up space... lots of it.

Check you settings because one of them allows for someone with a like phone to pair everything that might be on it.

I would take the phone to where you got it and ask questions... face to face.

I can understanding making sure the NFC in the phone is shut down. You have a phone that came with 32GB of storage. The Norton Mobile Security app takes up a tiny little bit of space. I think I have about 22GB of free space on my S4, and over 100 apps.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I was told by the person who sold me the phone that it isn't needed.
