Just for information.....I check for software update a couple of times a week on my iPhone 5....and when I checked this morning, there was the one I mentioned ready for download....it was a quick one and I was just letting anyone else know who might be interested........

As always, please be sure to do a backup prior to any software installation. Here's the release info from Apple.com (link: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1736):

This update contains improvements, bug fixes and security updates, including:

Further improvements to Touch ID fingerprint recognition
Fixes a bug that could impact keyboard responsiveness

(BTW: As usual, the update toggles Bluetooth to the "On" setting. If you don't use Bluetooth, turn it off after the installation.)

Thanks for the heads up. I don't know why but I never seem to get notification about updates. I always forget to check for updates from time to time and being reminded helps.

Thanks for posting a notification here. There is also an update for Mac computers. I think it is just for those who already have Mavericks? Check for updates in the App Store on your computer. Additionally, there is also an update for Apple AirPort Extreme, which is an apple wireless router (if you own it).

Grrrrr I hate that updates set that back by default. So annoying. Thanks for the heads up reminder to check that and set it back to off.

I don't get any notifications on my iPad either. I usually read about it online, go to settings and find it. Now my iMac and MacBook Pro are different. There is a red number on the app store icon when the computer is turned on.
