I ordered a fake fire place heater

Since my place has gas for winter heat and the bill can get high I decided to finally order one and I am so sad I did not get the easy pay when the Q had them for so long so I ordered from Walmart and I paid $113 and it has good reviews and I think it is 5,000BTU's? Anyway it should be great for my living room and I guess I can always take it back to Walmart but I don't know when you order online and it comes from another company. I think I got Cherry but I forgot they had a cute one for $69 in black but I have taupe, cream and rose in my home and the only thing black is my tv. I will also feel safer during the cold days using that instead of my gas heat...........I like the way it is pretty to see the fire but you really can't beat what QVC had and yet I was not for sure what color to get as I did not want the green or burgendy or the bronze or the cream as I felt the cream would stick out of place............so I will know when I get the fireplace heater if I like it and I don't think it is that big and that is fine as I do not need a big one..........Just sharing and seeing if you have purchased from any place other than the Q.........I sure have gotten one when it was $139, but I did not. Plus on easy pay.

I put gas logs into my wood burning fireplace and had a gas line run to it. However I haven't used it for 6 or 7 years. I got a Duraflame electric from QVC several years ago. It puts out a lot of heat and is just as mesmerizing as the real thing.... Plus it's aqua.

@Desertdi So would I! Mine is the older yellow one because my SUV is rapidly becoming an antique. I could ask for the turquoise one but then I'd have to cope with the rusty bolts on the old one. Maybe I could just hot glue the new one over the old one? That's the way we do things here.

@Kachina624 Over here, the "big thing" is to put flat paint over the reflective plate, so the photo radar doesn't get you. I am amazed so many people get away with this.....I, of course, would be the FIRST person they arrest.................

Here is it more expensive but lately my bill has not been over $40 but still that is about what my electric is so I may should not have gotten the heater but I am afrid of gas heat and carbon monoxide poison.

I don't know what brand they bought, but my sister and BIL purchase an electric heater type thing like the Duraflame for their finished basement. They rarely use it because it added a significant amount to their electric bill. I'm glad we have a good ol' fireplace that burns real logs.
