I just found this show. These treehouses are amazing. I want one, but wouldnt spend the money. They cost around 50-200 k.

I love Pete's personality. All of the crew are great crsftsmen. The interior designer brings great finds for the inside.

Is this a new program? I've only been seeing ads for it in the past couple of weeks. Haven't seen a show yet but the promos look enticing.

I sometimes watch that show. I am always curious about the amount of money these things must cost to build!

I think I'll google what it costs. I often do that. Will get back to you on this subject. What it costs and who pays for it.

New in 2013. The season is over, but all the episodes are online and they rerun them on TV. Looks like several episodes will be on tomorrow and through the week and various times.

They are amazing!

They often state the budget for each house., saying the family has $6,000 or $50,000 to spend. Some are tiny and some are very large, with big screen TVs included in the budget. You can build one much cheaper, but Pete, the guy from the show, is one of the leading treehouse builders on the country. You can buy books on building your own, but an expert treehouse builder can help you do it safely and without killing your trees. It's not something you want to try on the cheap or without an expert to consult. Some cities or states may require permits if you add plumbing or electricity or meet other criteria and a builder can help with that.

I love the show.

Have always wanted to have a treehouse or just spend the night in one being closer to the stars, birds and squirrels. I know Pete Nelson and his family have a Bed & Breakfast in the Washington forest called Treehouse Point. I will keep dreaming.

I have watched it but would rather have a second home on a beach than a treehouse. I live in the mountains so I would have the best of both worlds.

Some of the prices these are running are amazing. I would rather have a second residence somewhere else, than pay that much to extend my living space at home. No worries, as neither option is in my near future anyway!

These are just gorgeous, but I can just see me now. Walking out the door before my first cup of coffee and there is a snake up the tree with me.

I might "come down"- faster than I mean to.
