I give a quick scrub to pots and pans with salt before they go in the dishwasher.

I use ziplock bags to stuff shells or manicotti with cheeses.

I just used Borex which was suggested for stain removal. Anxious to report that it did just as good or an even better job of removing stains on an old mattress than any other of the expensive stain removers I have ordered by QVC or bought anywhere for that matter. Now that I have purchased a good mattress cover don't expect to have any more trouble in that area but know now how to quickly and economically remove many different kinds of stains by sprinkling on a small amount of Borex and scrubbing with a wet microfiber cloth
