topic Need Help Choosing Vacuum in Home

I now mostly have Pergo throughout my house and I am tired of using a broom to clean (it is exhausting me!). Can anyone recommend a vacuum that actually picks up hard floors (Pergo & linoleum). I'm pretty naive when it comes to floor cleaners and I want to be sure that I get something that actually works. The vacuum I have now has a setting for non-carpeting floors but it doesn't pick up. It just blows the dirt to another part of the floor. Thanks so much!
