I wouldn't be without a ceiling fan, love it. It guess it depends if you are hot or cold blooded.

Some have ceiling fan. Some have those half-dome type coverings that are jokingly referred to as "nipple lights."

I love the ceiling fan....and my puppy couldn't live without it. He sleeps with his belly up with the fan blowing on his belly, every chance he gets.

no overhead lights in any of the bedrooms. a few recessed lights over the beds in three of the bedrooms.

ceiling fans in the center of every bedroom.

Ceiling fan for air circulation. Very decorative fixtures limit the decorating styles that can be used. Most people don't have formal lifestyles these days. Simple is best and most versatile.

Definitely a ceiling fan. I couldn't sleep in the summer without it. Even with the A/C on, it helps circulate the air.

I can't sleep under anything that might FALL on me.............(lived in Southern California a long time.) Can't sleep near a window, either.

Chandelier. Until you have to climb up there and clean it. We have a chandelier in our dining room. One is enough in this household.

Our ceiling fan has a light above the blades.

I can't remember the last time it was turned on.(I'll have to try it soon)

We have small lamps on the bed stands.

Ceiling fan. They are the norm here in southwest Florida. I only use the light fixture in early morning darkness while dressing.
