I always hated ironing until I got a Rowenta......It's a whole new ballgame. The number of steam holes and the size of the water chamber is clearly a "better mousetrap". The feature of one pass over the garment and the upright steaming feature makes a chore not a chore. You need the right tool for the job and the Rowenta is that tool. I don't think you can go wrong with any of these models. Pick one that fits your budget and that you like the reviews.

Saw the presentation of Rowenta Project Runway steam iron. Confused. No model number. Nothing to compare it to. Wondering if it is just a model made only for QVC. I think I might like to have an iron.. just to own that has a steam feature. I tried to get reviews on it, model number on it.. no luck. Anyone own it? I see some on another site with 400 holes and steam plate, etc.

(I owned my other Rowenta forever before I upgraded).

I love this iron so much I ordered this years version in case anything happens to the one I'm using.

Personally, I love to iron & have crisp clothing -- the steam is wonderful - I will warn you the water dispenser goes down quick so you'll need to refill because it steams ...

When I'm done, I usually have water so I do the "cleaning" feature and always empty the water before I put it away!

go for it is my advice!

Even though it is heavier than my old $10 iron, I love how it irons and the point on it, and the steam. I forgot about the cleaning part so I'll do that next time!

I think I have the same Rowenta from QVC that the other posters are talking about (gosh was that really 5 years ago?).

It's has more steam holes than any other iron I've encountered and it works great to get out the wrinkles. On the one I have the only negative is the dark water tank because you can't see how much water is in the tank. It is a German-made Rowenta (not all of them are anymore) so the quality is there.

HSN sells a funky-looking Panasonic iron that gets good reviews.

Whatever you buy, try to get as many steam holes as possible on your budger.

I purchased multiple Rowenta's only to have them fail. My $100 Rowenta lasted about 3 years then the cord went. I purchased a Panasonic cordless iron from HSN and I love it. This is the best iron that I ever had. I love the cordless feature. I just place the iron back on the base when I am re-adjusting the clothing and it heats back up in 7 seconds. The Panasonic was $50 a couple of years ago on a day special and it has been great.
